Howdy! This is a test blog entry to try out the Zonelets system! It seems pretty straightforward, honestly!
As a whole, I'm really happy with how nicely the website has been coming along so far! There have been a few struggles, as is the case with any HTML project. However, the satisfaction of finally setting up my own little place on the World Wide Web has been worth the struggle! I've been a bit frustrated with social media as of late, what with Tumblr's Mulletwank and Twitter's elongated muskrat deciding to drive their respective sites into the crapper through being fragile white men with no capacity for handling criticism. So putting up my own stake in the world feels good! And since this is essentially a fully established website, should Neocities fall, I can just set up shop elsewhere, or set up my own domain!
(And for anyone preparing to get on my ass over deadnaming "X"... I'm not respecting the emerald mine child's tech bro bullshit dream name when he refuses to accept his own trans daughter. Fuck all of the way off with this bullshit)
With that out of the way... I'm very optimistic about this site! I've toyed with the idea for a while now, and I have a lot of fondness for indie web! Trying to bring back the dream of an Internet by the people, for the people. None of this "3 companies in a trenchcoat feeding you content and ads" (both often interchangeable) bullshit. Just people with some HTML tags and a dream.
Look forward to seeing more updates from me in the future! As for this blog, I'm definitely going to be styling it so it's more consistent with the rest of my website soon enough. Until then, enjoy the Mario World Switch Palace style background that comes with Zonelets by default :P
I'm excited to see this site come into its full potential, and I hope you are too ^_^
